Triquetra Health Launches Saffron Kids

Triquetra Health has launched Saffron Kids, a USDA Organic Sargol-grade saffron extract featuring Saffr’Activ, which was studied in children at the same dose used in the bottle.

The pediatric liquid supplement is formulated to support focus, mood, calm behavior, and restful sleep for children and teens between the ages of 3 and 17, in an alcohol-free, sugar-free, berry-flavored format.

The research behind conventional pediatric formulations, when it exists at all, is typically extrapolated from adult studies or animal data, leaving parents to rely on marketing claims rather than dose-matched evidence, the company reported. With pediatric supplement use rising and parents increasingly seeking clean, research-backed wellness options for their children, the category has lacked products combining published pediatric clinical evidence with the certifications and format quality parents expect for the rest of their family’s purchases.

Saffron Kids uses USDA Organic Sargol-grade saffron sourced from Iran’s Khorasan region, preserved by patented DryCare low-temperature drying that protects heat-sensitive crocins from degradation.

The formulation delivers 30 mg per daily serving for ages 7 through 17, matching the exact daily amount used in a published pediatric clinical trial, with a body-weight-scaled 15 mg dose for ages 3 through 6. The calibrated dropper covers ages 3 through 17 from one bottle.

A clinical trial published in the peer-reviewed journal Nutrients in 2022 evaluated Saffr’Activ in 63 children and teens ages 7 through 17 over three months at 30 mg daily. The study examined attention, executive function, behavior, and sleep onset across the three-month protocol.
